Compensation

Salary Range: 53.65 - $83.58 per hour DOE

The pay range above represents the lowest possible rate for the position and the highest possible rate. Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most often, a newly hired employee will be placed below the midpoint of the range.

Pay for PRN positions is calculated differently than Full-Time, Regular Part-Time, and Part-Time positions. PRN Rates depend on the position and other factors, including years of experience, or shift commitment according to the department policy. PRN differential is added in certain positions.

Responsibilities

Position Overview: 

Supervises and coordinates the quality of patient care in a specific hospital unit(s), by providing oversight of nursing staff. The supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of the unit through staffing/scheduling and direct observation of patient care activities by the nursing staff. This position will be shared between CMH-Ventura and OVCH-Ojai. The supervisor reports to the Director, Emergency Services.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) within 12 months of hiring/promotion
• Current CA Registered Nurse License

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification

• Three (3) year’s staff nurse experience in an acute care setting
• Must be able to work between two locations, Ventura and Ojai

Preferred:

• Master’s degree in a health related field
• Nurse Supervisor/Nurse Manager experience
