Channel Solutions Sales Specialist: 

As a member of the company’s Marketing team, the Channel Solutions Sales Specialist plays a key role in supporting the growth and success of CoreSite’s channel organization. This role is responsible for developing and managing relationships with a portfolio of agents and solution partners, serving as the initial point of contact for partner-generated opportunities. The Channel Solutions Sales Specialist will provide training on CoreSite’s products and solutions, assist in identifying colocation and interconnection opportunities, and support partners in building and expanding their sales pipelines.  

Additionally, this position will follow up on leads generated through channel marketing activities, tradeshows, and campaigns, working to uncover and qualify potential sales opportunities and advance them through the sales cycle. To be successful in this role, the Channel Solution Sales Specialist should be motivated, adaptable, intellectually curious, and proactive in engaging with partners and driving results across the channel ecosystem.

Duties: 

  • Manage, retain, and grow an assigned base of CoreSite agents and solution partners through regular phone and email engagement.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned partners, ensuring timely communication, support, and enablement.
  • Facilitate the onboarding of new CoreSite channel partners by providing targeted training on CoreSite’s offerings, processes, and market positioning, in coordination with the Channel Sales Director.
  • Act as the CoreSite point of contact and subject matter expert for all solution partner services.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Field Sales to develop partner-facing messaging and prospecting tactics tailored to the channel audience. 
  • Drive incremental leads and closed/won transactions while providing ongoing support to new accounts and existing sub-agent channel partners.
  • Identify and qualify opportunities based on partner and customer needs, ensuring all required documentation is collected.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual opportunity generation goals.  
  • Manage deal registration process for all solution partners in alignment with CoreSite’s processes. 
  • Track, support, and report on solution partner opportunities and pipeline progress. 
  • Uncover market trends and gain insights into the competitive landscape to inform partner strategy.
  • Special projects as assigned.
  • Promote and demonstrate the behaviors consistent with CoreSite’s culture and Core Values.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

  • Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment that consists of at least two onsite days per week
  • Flexibility to travel up to 15% to attend trade shows for channel support activities, with the potential for increased travel or in-office presence as business needs evolve.
  • Ability to learn and understand key partner business models, locations, and strategies, while developing and maintaining a strong understanding of CoreSite’s products, services, and competitive advantages.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and achieve set goals. 
  • Highly motivated, persistent, and competitive, with a strong sales focus and the resilience to work independently, overcome obstacles, handle rejection, and recover quickly.
  • Strong consultative selling skills, demonstrated through active listening, effective questioning, and a solutions-oriented approach.
  • Persuasive and instructional communication style; must be able to train and enable partners to understand and sell CoreSite products. 
  • Ability to learn, effectively pitch, and explain all CoreSite channel program models.
  • Upholds the highest level of integrity at all times.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn and understand CoreSite’s products, services, and market differentiators.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

 Education/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Channel Sales Support, Lead Generation, or similar partner-facing role. 
  • Must have experience maintaining accurate records and utilizing CRM systems effectively.  
  • Proven track record of performance at or above quota, ranking in the top 20% of peer group. 
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, good driving record, active auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
  • Proficient in sales tools, including Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, and HubSpot preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop or kneel; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Ability to travel is required. 

Compensation:

Compensation for this role includes a base salary between $65,000 and $75,000 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus and equity, based upon individual and company performance.
