Welcome to the good side of tech 👋
You might have heard about us, but with a different name: Doctoralia It all started 10 years ago, when we asked ourselves: is anyone in healthcare thinking about patients? We jumped in and we empowered patients by giving them access to leave and read reviews about their visit. We then provided doctors with the technology to manage bookings easily and save time, so they could devote themselves to what they always wanted: treating patients. And today is the day in which we ask you: wanna join us in the next step of making the healthcare experience more human?
Docplanner at scale
We are leaders in 13 countries so far, and more than 90 million patients trust us every month. Around 300.000 specialists believe in us and our product, and so do leading venture capital funds such as Point Nine Capital, Goldman Sachs Asset Management and One Peak Partners. And yet, employing over 2.700 people all over the globe, we managed to keep the startup-mindset we started with over 10 years ago.
How does Docplanner Tech fit here?
At Docplanner Tech we are a diverse group of over 400 people working in Engineering, Data, and Product teams. We are responsible for building the product for all locations. Many of us have been here for over 5 years, yet we still welcome each new person with great joy and excitement.
We could tell you about us, but we will let our reviews on Glassdoor speak for themselves. In case you’d like to see how it feels to be 100% yourself at work, here’s a video of us.
And why should you join us?
Because it feels good to tell your family and your friends how you made the world a little bit better. You go to bed knowing that what you do matters, and that your talents align with your beliefs.
We want to make the healthcare experience more human, and that starts with you being you. We believe that taking the diversity of human experience into account makes a better healthcare experience for all . We’re not just different: we embrace diversity. We will encourage you to come to work your whole self, and that includes not coming to the office at all if you prefer not to, as we're 100% remote friendly.
We are looking for a Senior .Net Backend Developer to join us and contribute to the development of our SaaS product. Our goal is to help doctors in their daily practice, make their work more efficient, so they can provide a better and more human experience to patients.
Our SaaS solution is a core product of the company, widely used across 13 countries and managing millions of medical appointments. Operating at such a large scale presents exciting technical challenges that require deep expertise in technical skills and also a Product mindset.
You will be part of an autonomous product team formed by Frontend and Backend Developers, a Product Manager, an Engineering Manager, and other supporting product roles such as Designer, Researcher, Product Analyst, and QA Engineer.
Why this role?
As a team, our principles are high collaboration and small steps with an impact on our users.
We value people over processes, async communication, trust and responsibility. We count on every team member to challenge and help to improve our way of working in a continuous way.
As a team, we are aligned with tech practices like Testing, Refactoring, KISS, Pair Programming, Feature Toggles, Small Steps, Vertical Slicing, and Continuous Integration. Quality matters! However, we understand that all of these practices are tools to achieve our goals and not goals by themselves.
We are looking for a Senior Product Developer, not a ticket solver. We expect you to help us understand our user problems, design solutions, and implement them with the high quality our big-scale product deserves.
As a senior role, we expect you to have a global impact, help your colleagues grow, and raise the bar of the team.
What do we expect from you as a Senior Backend Developer?
Autonomy: You have the ability to lead all the development cycle from the idea to the production, with all the implications that this means.
Technical Proficiency: You are a master with OOP languages (.NET/C#) and relational databases are necessary. You should also be comfortable working with SQL and, ideally NoSQL databases.
Quality-Driven: You value good programming practices (Testing, DDD, Refactoring, Clean Code and other XP practices), recognize the appliance of different test types depending on the business needs, and strive to optimize code for quality, complexity, and efficiency.
Architectural Acumen: You're capable of designing complex functionalities within a scalable architecture.
Communication Skills: You can effectively communicate in both spoken and written English.
Distributed Systems: You are used to working with scalable distributed cloud systems.
Message Queue System: You know how to work with message queue systems (like Azure queues or RabbitMQ).
Observability: You add metrics and monitoring to understand the impact of the code that you are creating. You create dashboards to help others to understand how the system is behaving.
What happens when you apply
We interview you remotely. You’ll meet with someone from the engineering and People Experience teams at this step. It will take about an hour. No coding, no hard questions. Unless you ask some.
During the second phase, we’d like you to show your technical skills. Usually, it’s a take-home assignment, but we can schedule a pair programming session.
We conclude the process during a second meeting where you’ll meet the team and discuss the assignment. We want to get to know you better and show you our reality. We can share our codebase so you know what you’re signing up for.
You always get detailed feedback from us, and you’ll hear about the final decision within a few days.

If you require additional support in your recruitment process, we kindly encourage you to let us know. Behind those words you’re reading, there’s a person (hi!) who already helped a candidate by adapting the interviews, and now we’re lucky to have this person with us.
