Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, this Summer, we’re looking to add a Process Engineering Intern located in our Austin, TX site.

Reporting to the Business Excellence Sr. Manager, the student will assist with daily engineering tasks while learning, collaborating and working alongside Engineers and cross-functional teams.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Identifying Kaizen projects to be launched at the Austin site
  • Collaborating with team to complete high visibility projects
  • Support database work and Dashboard generation
  • Coordinating the implementation of the control tower based on OEE results
  • Attend team meetings and provide updates on project work as needed
  • Attend Kaizen and/or Six Sigma project reviews, follow project tracking to completion and provide updates

Student qualities we’re seeking for this internship assignment:

  • Junior or Senior student pursuing Electrical or Industrial Engineer degree
  • Highly collaborative, creative and excellent communication skills
  • Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma/5S/OEE experience/knowledge; highly preferred
  • SQL, .Net, Elastic Search, PowerBI experience
  • Previous manufacturing internship experience; a plus!

Internship Program Requirements:

  • Available to start on May 27th and work 40 hours/week (in-person) for 10-12 week Summer assignment
  • Currently enrolled in 4-year accredited university
  • 3.0 minimum GPA
