Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent experience plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period.  Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Lead Pricing Analyst (Sr Advanced Pricing Spec) to join our Finance team. The position provides an opportunity to help secure new business and to enhance the financial performance and profitability of an organization that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to perform proposal pricing, financial reporting/analysis and cost proposal development for General Dynamics Mission Systems’ organization and its clients. The Lead Pricing Analyst plays a key role in securing new and financially viable business. This individual acts as a subject matter expert in the areas of contract pricing, financial analysis and cost proposal development.

 

Detailed Responsibilities:

• Serves as a Subject Matter Expert for GDMS pricing policies, procedures, tools, forms and techniques
• Creative thinker with ability to develop innovative solutions for complex customer pricing requirements
• Self starter that can perform all job aspects without appreciable direction
• Regularly interacts with and consults all levels of management on strategic and other key pricing/estimating-related issues
• Serves as company pricing systems (ProPricer), basis of estimate (BOE) tool and estimating system compliance expert
• Regularly provides pricing guidance to proposal managers, functional department managers and company BOE estimators
• Independently and routinely supports complex pricing activities and develops detailed cost volumes for multi hundred million $+ opportunities
• Regularly performs all life-cycle aspects of cost proposal development, including: analyzing and understanding customer RFP requirements, determining company pricing strategies, coordinating labor, material, subcontract and ODC cost estimates, performing company pricing, preparing timely, accurate, compliant and fully supported cost proposals, preparing/conducting pricing reviews, preparing financial analyses, supporting management reviews, performing pricing updates for negotiations and certification, and providing support to customer and DCAA/DCMA proposal audits
• Has robust understanding of government regulatory requirements (FAR Contract Pricing, DFARS Business Systems, CAS)
• Understands that effects of decisions and quality of work can directly impact the GDMS business base
• Has strong attention to detail and maintains copious records and prepares required cost proposal deliverables with accuracy and efficiency
• Possesses strong business ethics and embraces company culture and ethos
• Must possess strong PC skills, particularly Microsoft Word for developing cost proposals and Microsoft Excel for performing financial analyses, cost proposal review data and developing complex customer cost models
• Experience with Windows-based Estimating Systems (Pro-Pricer) and computerized financial systems is strongly desired
• Has strong interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills and can communicate effectively both verbally and in writing at all levels of the organization
• Must possess the ability to function efficiently as team member in all aspects of job performance.

NOTE: This position is ON-SITE in Scottsdale, AZ. The position offers 'flex from home' opportunities, but business needs may warrant working from the office to support pricing and cost proposal development activities.

Salary Note

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Combined Salary Range

USD $110,500.00 - USD $118,000.00 /Yr.
