Business Analyst - Connected Ecosystems

The Role

Fisher and Paykel ecosystems connect the virtual and physical worlds using the internet of things (IoT) and intelligently integrate and automate the whole of home based on real-life scenarios, with remote management and control of appliances via smartphones, access to rich content, services and experiences and connections with other ecosystems; providing integrated access to the many smart home devices and services around the world.

The role:

As a Business Analyst you will play a critical role in taking a user centred view to defining, designing and delivering the capabilities and experiences of the Fisher and Paykel connected ecosystems.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Capture and verify business, functional, and technical requirements for the ecosystem, including creating user stories, customer journeys and monitoring traceability.

  • Foster innovation processes such as Design Thinking, Lean Start up and Agile principles for requirement gathering, prototyping, testing and iterative release.

  • Develop processes, procedures, and documentation for operational teams – contributing to training activities as-required.

About you:

We are seeking a 12-month fixed term Business Analyst with 3+ year’s proven business analysis experience in a digital context and excellent analytical skills.

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Proven Expertise: You have the ability to gather, analyze, and document requirements from a broad range of technical and non-technical sources, stakeholders, and users.

  • ​Process Development: You excel in developing effective processes, procedures, and comprehensive documentation for operational teams, and you can contribute to training activities as needed.

  • Exceptional Soft Skills: You possess exceptional soft skills, enabling you to address both technical and business concerns effectively.

  • Leadership in Engagements: You have experience conducting end-user interviews, leading requirements-gathering sessions, and facilitating User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

  • Technical Proficiency: You are well-versed in modern programming languages and API-based integrations.

Your Key Skills

  • Governance and Communication: You demonstrate strong governance skills and the ability to manage and communicate with stakeholders effectively.

  • Detail-Oriented Planning: You have experience creating detailed user stories and acceptance criteria (ACs).

  • Integration Experience: You have exposure to modern programming languages and techniques specific to API-based integrations.

  • Translational Skills: You have the ability to translate complex technical language into business terms and vice versa.
