Project Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Lead team in preparation of project drawings, calculations and specifications
- Prepare analysis, design, calculations, reports, site visits and permit applications
- Provide construction assistance
- Evaluate land use/zoning requirements
- Assist with preparation of proposals and estimates for potential projects
- Mentor/train junior staff
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering preferred
- 5+ years of engineering experience
- PE License
- Experience with unique design/permitting requirements working within the City of Detroit or a similar urban context
- Technical experience in mixed-use urban infill, sustainable design and stormwater best management practice
- Knowledge of the City of Detroit and surrounding area preferred
- Proficient in Civil 3D, SWMM and Excel
Salary is commensurate with experience.
