In the role of Head of Strategic Planning, you'll spearhead both immediate and future-focused strategic initiatives that will define our organization's trajectory. This position is crucial as we evolve from an expansion-centric approach to operations driven by deliberate strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the creation of strategic plans considering regulations, economic, environmental, and market trends.
• Set strategic goals focused on sustainable growth and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with leadership to align objectives with the corporate mission.
• Support FP&A activities by ensuring accurate, risk-adjusted budgets and forecasts.
• Maintain data consistency with the strategic plan in financial processes.
• Monitor market trends affecting the utility industry.
• Assess regulatory frameworks and technologies, providing insights for challenges.
• Advise on regulatory compliance and risk management to leadership.
• Work with leaders and departments to implement strategic initiatives.
• Enhance communication among strategy teams, managers, and external partners.
• Use data analysis to inform strategic decisions.
• Develop KPIs to measure success of strategic initiatives.
• Identify risks and opportunities in strategic planning.
• Implement mitigation strategies for operational continuity.
• Provide mentorship to foster professional growth.
• Promote a collaborative environment for innovation and excellence.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Science, Economics, or a similar field
• MBA or a higher degree in finance is preferred
• Over 10 years of experience in strategic planning, business development, or management consulting
• Experience within a regulated utility, energy, or infrastructure sector
• Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local regulatory environments
• Knowledge of financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis
• Familiarity with sustainability practices and new technologies in the utility industry
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and execute complex strategic projects
• Outstanding analytical skills with the capacity to convert data into actionable strategies
• Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal abilities
• Excellent project management skills
• Skilled in strategic planning tools and methodologies

• A competitive base salary estimated at around $200,000
