Job Description:

The Specialist, Systems Engineer will be responsible for performing as part of a team that supports the requirements, design, development, test, and integration of complex, specialized hardware/software systems installed on ground and airborne ISR and communication platforms. While System Engineering/Integration skills are required, the emphasis of this position will be on Information Assurance (I/A) and Authority To Operate (ATO) coordination with customer.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Network configuration and security experience .
  • O btaining and maintaining a government network ATO (Authorization to Operate).
  • Familiarity with government risk/vulnerability scans.
  • Working with subcontractors and US Government customers.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • EMASS, and XACTA experience.
  • Translate requests of the customer into system level requirements.
  • Write subsystem specifications based on system level requirements.
  • Evaluate alternative solutions and establish preliminary system design.
  • Prepare effective presentations to communicate technical network information to non-technical professionals.
  • Have experience developing, authoring, and implementing N/W and system test plans in a team environment.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field with four (4) years of Network configuration and security experience.  
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of ten (10) years of Network configuration and secruity experience.
  • Prefer CCNA or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
  • Must be a US Citizen.
