Director, Business Continuity Management & Integrated Risk Management

What is the opportunity?

We are seeking an experienced Director to serve as the Product Owner for RBC’s Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Integrated Risk Management (IRM) capabilities within the ServiceNow platform. In this role, you will be accountable for the end-to-end product lifecycle of BCM/IRM solutions, including the vision/roadmap development to delivery, continuous improvement and stakeholder engagement. You’ll partner closely with internal stakeholders across technology, risk, business continuity, cyber security and operations to define and deliver on solutions that drive value, mitigate risk and support regulatory compliance.

What will you do?

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Own the product strategy and roadmap for BCM/IRM modules within ServiceNow, aligning capabilities to enterprise BCM and regulatory requirements. Overlay RBC/CNB/Brewin Dolphin integration efforts with overall product strategy and objectives.

• Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Partner with risk, business continuity, audit. Compliance and technology teams to gather requirements and define and support delivery on user stories. Translate complex risk and continuity needs into scalable ServiceNow solutions.

• Backlog & Prioritization: Translate business needs into detailed requirements and prioritize features in the product backlog. Work closely with ServiceNow developers and architects to ensure efficient delivery and integration.

• Risk Management & Security: Ensure compliance with internal governance processes and regulatory standards. Anticipate, track and escalate risks as required.Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes.

• Reporting & Analytics: Monitor product performance, usage metrics and user feedback to drive continuous improvement.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise IT, with at least 5 years of experience in BCM or IRM.

• 3+ years as Product Owner or Manager within a ServiceNow environment, preferably in the BCM or IRM modules.

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, business, or a related field

• In-depth knowledge of continuity planning, operational risk anagement and integrated risk frameworks.

• Certified ServiceNow Administrator or ServiceNow ITAM certifications preferred

Nice-to-have

• Excellent leadership and team management skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Effective communication and negotiation skills.

• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Risk and/or BCM

• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks

• Experience in large-scale technology transformation or digital risk initiatives.

The expected salary range for this particular position is $160,000 - $250,000, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.

You have the potential to earn more through RBC’s discretionary variable compensation program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.
