Job Description

This is a FT position with benefits and 401K.

2nd Shift Hours: 3:00p - 11:00p

OT is sometimes available.

  • Determines time cycle to produce required size and finish of parts being lapped. Works to tolerances as to light band.
  • Monitors lapping machine for condition, and lap plate flatness.  Alerts supervisor or machine conditioner when adjustments are required.
  • Hand polishes during machine operation when required.
  • Degreases parts and cleans degreasing tank as required.
  • Performs Statistical Process Control (SPC) when required
  • May be required to operate more than one machine simultaneously.
  • Works form factory work orders, production route tickets, written or verbal instructions.
  • Makes proper job and time reports for timekeeping.
  • Keeps machine and work area clean and orderly.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may vary based upon individual branch requirements.

 

Qualifications

EHS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Additional duties and responsibilities will vary based upon departmental needs.
  • Complete all work in a safe manner and follow all safety requirements consistent with supporting the Company’s goals.
  • Lifting guidelines in accordance with the Manual Lifting Guidelines noted in the Safety Handbook.
  • Follow all environmental requirements consistent with supporting the company’s environmental performance goals.
  • Complete, and actively participate in all other EHS training requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires high school education or equivalent
  • Ability to read and interpret prints and technical drawings and work with fractions, decimals and/or metrics. 
  • 2 months to 1 year previous lapping experience plus. 1 to 3 years on-the-job training.
  • The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined.
  • Willing to train a person who wants to learn and has the right attitude.

Salary Range: $39,520 — $59,280 USD
