Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include curriculum development, serving as a final reviewer of courses, providing content-related consulting, and collaborating with Learning Designers on course material.
Skills: Candidates should possess strong communication, writing, editing, and curriculum design skills as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Qualifications: A Master's degree in a relevant field is required; a Ph.D. is preferred, along with at least 3 years of related experience.
Location: The position is based in the United States of America and requires minimal travel (5%).
Compensation: $26 - $39 / Hourly
The Sophia Subject Matter Expert (SME) is responsible for curriculum development and review of course guides, course materials, and curriculum within their specialty. Reviews curriculum for consistency and quality across courses. Serves as the final reviewer for courses prior to final approval by Sophia academic leadership. Ensures development of a high quality, current, relevant, engaging core course curricula in alignment with accreditation standards and guidelines.
