Business Planning and tracking – Sales Operations
Be the lead facilitator of best practices sharing initiatives across EU (i.e. BU forums)
Be the main point of contact for financial metrics and key performance indicators tracking
Take a lead role alongside the EILT in driving BU accountability to ensure projection accuracy and the proactive flagging of risks and/or opportunities in terms of the financial outlook
Track BU projections and trends, ensuring proactive review of strategy execution
Monitor key performance metrics, track sales performance, and prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
Develop business plans to establish short-term, mid-term and long-term goals for the business unit and customer.
Support customer segmentation and targeting across all markets
Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions, pricing strategy and differentiators with a view to develop and implement new business solutions, advance Stryker’s portfolio and distribution channels where appropriate.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing and Finance to align commercial strategies with overall business objectives
Focus markets
In agreement with the BUL and EILT, prioritise strategically important markets and provide additional commercial direction and leadership
Work alongside local commercial teams to drive accountability and deep understanding of business trajectory and influencing factors
Take charge of executive-level commercial projects, collaborating closely with key stakeholders to drive initiatives forward and achieve strategic objectives
Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, fostering strategic partnerships and alliances to drive revenue growth and market share
Drive BU collaboration across Europe
Alongside the BUL, represent Europe in collaboration with the US-based BU team
Work alongside Marketing to understand the BU strategy and ensure execution
Participate in demand planning to ensure European regional needs are captured in accordance with market and business performance expectations
Understand best in class approaches, connect the dots between regions
Understand and champion the Win Big Together collaboration model within the division
Share best practices across the network of Strategic Sales Managers and other stakeholders.
Actively communicate and share projects, opportunities and developed solutions internally with BULs, RSMs, Marketing, BUM and Sr. BUDs across divisions and countries in the region. Support country organisation with pipeline management
Leverage an extensive network internally with division leaders, key division stakeholders, enabling functions, to maximize the “One Stryker” approach where appropriate
Education & special training:
Fluent in English (other EU languages desirable but not mandatory)
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred
Experience
Proven track record of success in Sales or Marketing preferably within the Medical Device industry.
Strong commercial and business acumen
Demonstrated success in leading teams through influence and not authority.
Documented success of relationship building stakeholders at all levels of an organization
Preference for multiple years of experience in areas listed above
