Summary of Job Duties:

The Administrative Support Supervisor for the OTD Program will play a major role in developing, organizing, and maintaining departmental personnel, financial, and accreditation documents. This position will set up organizational systems, supervise student workers, schedule meetings and spaces, assist in new faculty orientation, enter data into multiple platforms, supervise and purchase inventory, make travel arrangements, respond to student and community questions regarding the OTD educational program, and coordinate with administrative personnel at UAMS College of Health Profession, our partner organization. Some travel between the offices of UAMS Northwest and University of Arkansas OTD offices is to be expected.

This position will compose correspondence, respond to written inquiries, interpret agency administrative directives, policies, and procedures to ensure consistent compliance, and act as a liaison to other programs, departments, or agencies/institutions, and perform other duties as assigned.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The formal education of a high school diploma

  • At least one year of specialized training in business management, business education, or a related field

  • At least two years of experience in administrative support

  • At least one year in a supervisory or leadership capacity


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working within the University system

  • Competency in computer skills and Microsoft Office Suite


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs)

  • Knowledge of data entry

  • Ability to prepare, present, and review oral and written information and reports

  • Ability to collect and analyze related work program information

  • Ability to develop, recommend, interpret, and apply policies and procedures

  • Ability to analyze financial records and prepare reports

  • Ability to analyze documents to determine compliance with rules, regulations, and procedures

  • Ability to plan, organize, and direct the work of others

  • Ability to promote a positive image of the depart through interactions with the public
