Help drive and organize projects that power donor engagement and fundraising strategy.
We’re looking for a Departmental Project Lead to support the Donor Development team by coordinating ongoing initiatives, ensuring timelines stay on track, and fostering collaboration across stakeholders.

We’re powered by skilled volunteers and a small core staff — from students to seasoned pros — who believe in ethical, independent journalism free from corporate or political influence.
About the Role
As the Project Lead for Donor Development, you’ll:
- Attend bi-weekly Donor Development meetings (Tuesdays at 12:00 PM ET)
- Track and organize departmental projects in tools like Trello or spreadsheets
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between team members and stakeholders
- Ensure timelines, ownership, and next steps are clearly defined and documented
- Follow up on action items and report on project status
- Help prepare basic project visuals or summaries (e.g., checklists, timelines, slides)
- Ensure project visibility across the department and escalate blockers when needed
What We’re Looking For
- Some experience in project coordination or team-based work (internships and early-career welcome!)
- Strong communication and follow-up skills
- Familiarity with basic project tracking tools (e.g., Trello, spreadsheets, Google Workspace)
- Organized, reliable, and proactive in a remote work environment
- Passionate about nonprofit work and values-driven fundraising

Commitment
