Our Why, What and How

We are a proudly purpose-led ASX-listed fintech on a mission to bring people closer to financial wellness and make a real difference in the world, starting right here in Australia. By building products and experiences designed to have a positive impact on the financial health and lives of our customers, we are inching ever-closer to achieving our purpose.

We offer smarter, fairer loans that help people kick their goals sooner. Wisr App, awarded Winner of WeMoney's 2024 & 2025 'Best Mobile Experience', makes loan self-service easy and offers free financial wellness tools including credit scores, round ups, money hacks and more..

The better we do this, the more positive change and impact we can have on our customers. Now is the time to join one of Australia’s fastest growing fintechs and make an impact.

We are a people first business and value flexibility as part of our work - our team works in a hybrid working environment, typically 2 days per week in our beautiful office space.

About the job

As a Senior .NET Engineer at Wisr, you will be working on a range of systems consisting of both internal and external facing applications such as our Broker portal platform, our internal loan management system (custom built by us!) and financial wellness tools like Breach Alert, Credit Scores and Debt Bustr. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of novel and diverse problems across the business, along with providing technical guidance and mentorship to more junior engineers.

Our Engineers and Product teams work closely together to solve problems with creative solutions. You will collaborate with teams both within the Product & Innovation space as well as the wider business and internal customers.

Our modern applications use APIs written in .Net Core 8 that serve data for React SPAs. Alongside these, there are a handful of legacy applications written in .Net Framework 4.7, these use MVC frontends with some AngularJS for frontend interactions. Like any business, Wisr has some tech debt, however we understand the importance of managing this sustainably while ensuring upcoming projects and goals are met.

While this role is focused on the .NET side of applications, we’re always excited to support your continued learning and development to grow your existing skill set into full stack development.

About you

With strong experience working with C#/.NET, you know your way around all phases of the software development life cycle and have a passion for writing clean and maintainable code. You understand the value that automated testing brings to a code base and are comfortable working in an environment with CI/CD.

Aside from being technically strong, you know that having domain knowledge about your product is just as important as your coding ability. You also need to be able to work with a team and understand that having a diverse set of opinions is vital to success.

You are highly experienced and familiar working with:

• .Net Framework 4.7

• .Net Core 8

• SQL and Entity Framework

• Integration and unit testing

You also have strong experience and knowledge working with Azure Devops or other CI/CD platforms, Microsoft Azure or similar within an Agile environment. Bonus points if you have experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) or an interest in working with ReactJS.

You love to solve problems first and write interesting code second.
