The cover image was a photo I took on the way home from my past job as a CNA working in health care. It was a rough day, my client then had severe Alzheimer's and it prevented her from taking basic care of herself. It pains my heart to see her suffering while also unwilling to fix the situation because she just can't make those logical connections anymore, her mind thinks it's better to suffer and avoid the task she needs to do, even though the task is simple.
The beautiful view over Ross Lake here in Beaverton, MI that time of year is one of the few things that gets me to just stop and think about what I have to be grateful for. Natural beauty inspires awe and takes my mind off of everything going wrong, providing much needed relaxation. It inspires me to keep trying when life feels impossible. It inspires me to continue pushing forward despite the risks.
