Job Summary:
As a Supply Chain Specialist, you will help manage inventory locations by running replenishments for the drivers and warehouses. You will source special order parts when needed by technicians through suppliers that may be established or not, process orders for all A1 locations based on needs for inventory items and coordinate on site inventory counts and cycle counts companywide and for new acquisitions, as required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage Purchasing and Inventory for multiple A1 location warehouses and the vehicles in those markets within Service Titan.
Create and manage template for vehicle replenishments upon graduation for new hires, cycle counting, and annual inventory.
Manage all non-inventory parts requirements for the warehouse, installers, and technicians.
Work with suppliers to multi source items and negotiate the best pricing to support business needs.
Manage and coordinate the Parts Special Order (PSO) program for technicians and installers.
Coordinate the logistics of POs for timely delivery of ordered items, ensure POs are received to not holdup payment, and work with A/P on any discrepancies in invoicing as it pertains to POs and receipts.
Coordinate and manage annual inventory count to include all warehouses and vehicles.
Coordinate and manage offboarding counts and reconciliation for vehicles in the markets.
Work with the manager to travel to new acquisition sites to process inventory before and after acquisitions are completed.
Assess and improve supply chain flows through the area markets for completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
Identify and address gaps in inventory processes. Create procedures to maintain accuracy in inventories across A1.
Create templates and calendars for cycle counting and annual inventory as needed.
Training of new acquisition teams on the inventory processes.
Confirm cycle counts are being processed on a quarterly basis for vehicles and on a weekly basis for warehouses.
Help with acquisitions by auditing inventories pre/post close as well as pre–Service Titan (CRM) uploading.
Required Skills & Abilities:
Preferred prior knowledge of garage door parts or the home service industry.
Knowledge of inventory practices for inventory turns consumptions, processes, and cycle counting. Setting mins and maxs for items based on lead time, criticality, and consumption.
Must be detail oriented and can manage multiple tasks at any given time.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal with all levels of the organization.
Proficient in computer skills to be able to learn and use the current ERP system which is ServiceTitan.
Excellent computer skills in the Microsoft Suite of software, (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Possible travel up to 10-15% for acquisition inventory, training, and inventory help at markets.
Education and Experience:
1-5 years’ experience in Purchasing or Manufacturing.
Knowledge of computers and tablet use.
Experience in using google search and Navigation systems is a plus.
Knowledge of hand tools, mechanical tools, and garage door experience is a plus, but not required.
GED, High School Diploma, or suitable equivalent.
Working Conditions:
Prolonged periods of standing and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Able to bend, climb, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.
Must be able to work after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays with notice.
Be able to drive a company vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
