Business Systems Analyst- Tech Ops

Abacus Insights is a mission-driven technology company transforming healthcare data to improve patient experiences and outcomes. They seek a Business Systems Analyst to onboard complex healthcare data, collaborate with stakeholders, and support client analytics initiatives in a fast-growing, innovative SaaS environment.

Skills

Strong SQL and relational database management skills
Experience with ELT/ETL processes and data warehousing concepts
Ability to handle complex healthcare data formats including HL7 and EDI
Technical writing and documentation skills
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Client-facing experience capturing detailed business requirements
Familiarity with payor data including membership, claims, and clinical data

Responsibilities

Onboard client source data into foundational data models
Explore and map source system data to internal data models at detailed levels
Collaborate with enterprise data model teams and client stakeholders for accurate mappings
Produce technical and ELT documentation for data engineering teams
Document client-specific functional and non-functional data requirements and use cases
Validate data pipelines against user acceptance criteria
Maintain data documentation and metadata
Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues promptly
Communicate effectively across global teams
Continuously update knowledge on healthcare data domains and source systems

Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, health information management, data science, IT, MIS, or related field
