Account Renewals Manager

Benchling builds cloud software that accelerates biotech R&D and is used by leading biotech and pharma organizations. The Account Renewals Manager will manage renewal negotiations, drive retention and expansion, and partner cross-functionally to ensure customers realize ongoing value from Benchling’s R&D Cloud.

Skills

Proven renewal and contract negotiation experience
Account management and customer success in a SaaS environment
Familiarity with Life Sciences R&D processes and scientific concepts
Stakeholder management across user, business, and IT audiences
Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, cross-functional startup environment

Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong relationships with scientific and IT stakeholders including champions and economic buyers
Define and implement engagement models across the customer lifecycle to drive satisfaction, governance, and expansion
Identify churn risk and contraction trends early; coordinate appropriate remediation and escalation
Own renewal negotiations and execution in collaboration with Sales and cross-functional teams
Assess account health, uncover scientific/business opportunities, and route customers to product or technical experts
Forecast renewal, adoption, expansion, and retention outcomes accurately

Education

BS or M.Sc. in Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, Bioengineering or equivalent life sciences experience
