Job Title: Environmental Service WorkerJob DescriptionAs an Environmental Service Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and neatness of patient rooms and other areas within the hospital. Your duties will include cleaning bathrooms, pulling trash, mopping floors, and ensuring that the assigned unit remains clean and orderly. Interaction with patients in their rooms requires you to be courteous and polite.Responsibilities• Perform basic cleaning tasks in patient rooms.• Clean bathrooms thoroughly.• Pull trash and replace liners.• Sweep and mop floors.• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the assigned unit.• Interact with patients politely and courteously.Essential Skills• At least 6 months of cleaning experience in a commercial environment (industrial, hotel, hospital, school, corporate, etc.).• Ability to interact with patients politely (customer service focus).• Comfortable working in an environment where blood and bodily fluids may be present (no direct contact with such fluids).Additional Skills & Qualifications• Experience in a hospital setting is a plus but not required.Why Work Here?Our client offers a strong and affordable benefit package due to their size. The dress code includes red scrubs or a red scrub top and black scrub pants, with sneakers (no open back or toe shoes). Naturally occurring hair colors are required, nails should be kept at fingertip length, and minimal jewelry (stud earrings and wedding band) is allowed. The shift is from 3 PM to 11 PM (7.5 hours a day), with the possibility to come in early, stay late, or pick up additional days to reach 40 hours.
