The Americas team is the newest region for Airwallex and growing more than 2x every year. We have expanded beyond North Americas to Mexico and soon the rest of Latin America. As part supporting the President of Americas, you’ll be responsible for working closely with the leadership team in Americas and globally to drive key strategic initiatives in the region. You are a self-starter and independent thinker with exceptional analytical and communication skills. You can seamlessly switch between strategy and execution. You are adept at multi-tasking and can handle multiple high priority projects ranging from strategizing a new country launch from the ground up to scaling a multi million business into new verticals. You can handle highly sensitive and confidential information while supporting a rapidly moving organization.
This role is based in San Francisco.
Help scale Airwallex Americas business across all countries in the region and set up new countries for launch.
Be the nerve center for the Americas business across all functions.
Facilitate and manage selected cross-functional deep dives and special projects on business gaps/cases issued by the President/GM, CRO and the rest of leadership, whether focused on revenue growth, cost optimization, organizational effectiveness, M&A, etc.
Manage cross-functional stakeholders to ensure they are well-informed of their roles in each project, negotiate timelines, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Prepare and update materials for business reviews and related activities, highlighting progress toward goals, key risks, and dependencies.
Be a sounding board to working-level project teams and/or stakeholders, with objectives to resolve inefficiencies and roadblocks and keep the projects within their agreed timelines.
Take a data-driven approach to ensure the overall healthiness of the organization.
Drive efficiency and urgency in all aspects of running the business and organization overall
We're looking for people who meet the minimum qualifications for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory.
8+ years of experience, preferably with a fast-growing tech startup and/or top-tier strategy/management consulting or equivalent
Technology, financial services experience and/or experience in a high-growth environment
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills
Self-starter that can identify and prioritize opportunities to focus on
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
MBA qualification
