Senior Software Engineer - Reference & Entity Data

AlphaSense is a leading AI-driven market intelligence platform trusted by over 4,000 enterprise customers globally. The company is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join the Reference and Entity Data Services team, focused on building and maintaining systems that handle large-scale, critical metadata integration and publishing.

Skills

Strong programming skills in Python, Ruby on Rails, Java.
Experience with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, and ClickHouse.
Familiarity with distributed computing, algorithmic complexity, and asynchronous design.
Proficiency in Agile development and software testing practices.
Ability to ship pragmatic, high-quality solutions with urgency.
Collaborative team player with strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Build robust and scalable software systems for metadata ingestion, normalization, deduplication, and publishing.
Test, review, and deploy code frequently with rapid release cycles using feature flags.
Research and share innovative engineering solutions to complex problems.
Develop tooling and automation to improve engineering productivity.
Own and deliver end-to-end projects impacting critical data services.
Collaborate closely with product teams to analyze and design business-driven technical solutions.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
