The company is committed to meeting market and customer needs with excellence in manufacturing, design, innovation, and service.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site internship role for an Industrial Designer at Altium Packaging in Alpharetta, GA. The Industrial Designer will be responsible for tasks such as industrial design, 3D CAD, presentations, prototyping, design thinking, product renderings, technical 2D drawing prints for manufacturing prints, and product development on a day-to-day basis.Qualifications• Candidates should be enrolled in at least the third year of an Industrial Design, Design Thinking, or Mechanical Engineering program. Pursuing a master’s degree is a plus.• Should have a solid working knowledge of SolidWorks, including modeling in 3D modeling and 2D print templates.• Experience with a Product Data Management tool (PDM) nice to have• The ability to use rendering software such as KeyShot is a bonus• Have the ability to multi-task and have strong organizational• Are you hardworking, can you take initiative and possess a dedicated outlook?• Experience with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator and Photoshop, is preferred.• You must be available to work full-time for at least 10 weeks, though 12 weeks is preferred. A GPA of at least 3.0 is required.• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams• Strong candidates will also exhibit sound leadership, communication skills, problem-solving, and analytical skills
