Senior Manager, HCP Promo Marketing, BKEMV (Rare Disease)

What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world and offer cost-effective treatment options for rare disease patients!

The Senior Manager, HCP Marketing, for BKEMV (biosimilar eculizumab) will report to the Director, HCP Marketing for BKEMV, Amgen’s first biosimilar for rare diseases. BKEMV launched in March 2025 in US. This role is responsible for leading the execution of the HCP promotional strategy. This individual will support planning and execution of brand-building marketing plans and tactics to launch BKEMV. This will include leading the implementation of dynamic promotional / omnichannel tactics during launch for second half of the year as well as the development and execution of the NMOSD (new indication) tactical plan. There is a significant focus on implementing digital marketing tactics starting 2H 2025 and into 2026.

Critical to the role will be developing an understanding of neurologists and neuromuscular experts who treat Generalized Myasthenia Gravis (GMG) and Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder (NMOSD) and hematologists treating Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria (PNH) and Atypical Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (AHUS). There is a higher focus on Neurology based on the size of the indications. This individual will define and pursue opportunities to ensure BKEMV brand’s value proposition is pulled through at all high impact touchpoints. Also critical to this role is understanding what is important to a customer when adopting a biosimilar esp. for a rare disease and develop the right narrative of the value proposition for the formulary decision-maker as well as for HCP level pull-through.

This role requires strong teamwork and flexibility. The Sr. Manager, HCP Marketing will collaborate with a wide range of internal and external partners to bring BKEMV’s launch plan to life. This role will require inspiring cross-functional teams and agency partners to deliver “excellence in execution” and “integration” to leverage skills and tools from OBU and RDBU for this unique launch model. Therefore, a record of outstanding leadership, innovation, and an ability to succeed in a highly collaborative and rapidly changing environment is critical. Up to 10% travel required

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute BKEMV’s (biosimilar eculizumab) HCP promotional strategy and tactics with more focus on digital marketing tactics.
  • Build and advocate a deep understanding of HCP motivation and behavior in Generalized Myasthenia Gravis (GMG) and Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder (NMOSD) treatment space to use BKEMV for both new and existing patients stable on reference product Soliris®. Note that hematologists treating Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria (PNH) and Atypical Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (AHUS) are also critical for uptake but they have some biosimilar experience (unlike neurologists).
  • Act as the voice of the HCP, translating potential HCP hesitation to use biosimilars and market insights into a rich and empathetic HCP brand narrative and resources.
  • Execute the overall brand strategy and tactics with AOR and media agency
  • Support building a cost-effective HCP Comms/Media strategy including message map, budget allocations and placements across PESO (Paid, Earned, Shared, Owned) ecosystem. Lead the engagement with both AOR and Media agency.
  • Lead specific tactics for Non-Personal Promotion (e.g, emails, HCP & Patient brochures, videos, etc.) including creation of materials, MAC review, execution and measuring KPIs.
  • Able to develop cost-effective and targeted tools and tactics leveraging digital platforms and data.
  • Identify and establish clear and robust Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and lead/lag indicators to measure both strategic and tactical execution of personal / non-personal promotions and patient tactics
  • Lead development, production and MAC approval of all HCP-related personal promo creative/content (incl. website) in partnership with internal and external (agency) partners. Expert at organizing and preparing for MAC meetings.
  • Coordinate with PSP and REMS implementation teams to pull through tactics, as needed
  • Ensure Operational Excellence in implementing REMS and controlled distribution. Coordinate with REMS, Trade and Distribution leads to refine / update appropriate education tools and processes for HCP / office staff for smooth transition from reference product to BKEMV
  • Engage with cross-functional/cross-BU account managers and Inside Sales Team (ISTs) to collect feedback/input and incorporate suggestions, where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with Training to ensure pull through of promotional tools and programs to prepare field teams for launch (update existing materials, if needed)
  • Work with CD&A team to inform HCP promo strategy and execution. Work with RDBU MR lead to generate and share insights with BKEMV Brand team to support strategic thinking in brand planning, enhanced creative, modify tactics etc.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional team to ensure connectivity / alignment and support BKEMV’s brand initiatives/goals. Be a critical part of brand planning.
  • Collaborate with DTI lead for relevant workstreams to support launch
  • Manage HCP Promotion budget; closely monitor performance to meet brand goals and objectives, efficiently.
