Principal Software Engineer, ArsenalOS (Forge Platform)

Anduril Industries is advancing defense technology with a focus on AI-powered military systems. They seek a Principal Software Engineer to lead architectural initiatives on their ArsenalOS Forge Platform, driving innovation in supply chain and mission execution software.

Skills

Expertise in platform development and architecture
Experience with distributed systems and microservices
Deep proficiency in data modeling and API design
Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
Strategic problem-solving skills for complex technical trade-offs
Strong leadership and collaboration capabilities
First-principles thinking approach

Responsibilities

Architect and integrate Forge into a unified platform experience
Evolve data modeling strategies across multiple modalities
Minimize technical debt while enhancing platform scalability
Lead development of CI/CD, QA, and integration testing frameworks
Champion Forge’s extensibility beyond traditional MES tooling
Standardize Forge’s APIs under a scalable platform strategy
Own platform observability, analytics frameworks, and infrastructure
Facilitate cross-team alignment on domain management and event streaming
Enhance user management, approvals, and permissions systems

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
