Senior Robotics Software Engineer, Drones

Anduril Industries is a cutting-edge defense technology company focused on developing advanced autonomous aerial drone systems to enhance military capabilities. They are seeking a Senior Robotics Software Engineer to develop innovative robotics software, lead feature development, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver state-of-the-art drone solutions.

Skills

Proficiency in C++ or Rust and Linux development environments.
Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and code optimization.
Experience troubleshooting remotely deployed software systems.
Hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical systems.
Effective cross-functional team collaboration.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain core robotics libraries for all Anduril robotics platforms.
Lead development and implementation of major product features including Software-in-the-Loop simulators.
Optimize existing product performance, including battery management and route planning.
Collaborate with hardware and manufacturing teams throughout product lifecycle.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex deployed system issues.
Contribute to multi-agent coordination systems design for UAVs.
Participate in full software development lifecycle from design to deployment.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend innovations.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, or related field.
