Software Development Engineer in Test, Maritime App

They are seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test to ensure the reliability of autonomous maritime vehicle software by building comprehensive automated testing frameworks.

Skills

Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or TypeScript.
Experience with UI automation tools such as Playwright or Cypress.
Proficiency with API testing tools like Postman or Pytest.
Deep understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills for complex distributed systems.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and infrastructure for maritime applications.
Create and execute thorough test plans covering UI, API, and system-level integration.
Build and manage simulation-based test environments to validate autonomous behaviors.
Collaborate with hardware teams on hardware-in-the-loop testing capabilities.
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to enforce quality throughout development.
Investigate failures, identify root causes, and work with engineers to resolve defects.
Advocate for quality and testability in feature development and report on quality metrics.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field preferred.
