IT Architecture and Technology Strategist (f/m/x)

As an IT Architecture and Technology Strategist (f/m/x), you will be part of our central IT strategy team, driving the evolution of our IT target architecture. You’ll focus on modern platforms, forward-looking technologies, and close collaboration with IT governance and AI strategy teams. Your work lays the foundation for innovation, efficiency, and sustainable growth. • Further development of the long-term architecture strategy, taking into account current and future platforms, system landscapes, and technology trends
• Alignment with operational IT units to ensure sustainable, feasible, and cost-effective implementation
• Strategic consulting and decision support for make-or-buy decisions, cloud vs. on-premise architectures, and the selection of appropriate development approaches (No Code / Low Code / Pro Code)
• Conceptual design of the IT target architecture with a strong focus on scalability, modularity, and integration
• Close collaboration with the AI strategy team to integrate AI use cases into daily operations and further develop the technological foundation
• Support and accompany the transformation of IT towards an ITSM-oriented organization
• Contribute to the definition and implementation of new architectural standards and decision-making processes within the IT strategy

• Many years of hands-on IT leadership experience, ideally with a generalist background across multiple disciplines (e.g., development, operations, infrastructure, system design)
• Proven experience in strategic IT planning and designing complex, future-ready IT architectures
• Broad understanding of current and emerging technologies and architectures, along with their operational and economic impact
• Experience with ITSM organizations and transformation processes from traditional structures to service-oriented models (based on ITIL)
• Strong knowledge (or willingness to gain expertise) in platforms and technologies such as SAP (S/4, UI5, Neptune), Mulesoft, Microsoft Power Platform, and M365
• Strong strategic mindset, excellent analytical skills, and confident decision-making
• Clear and effective communication skills when interacting with management, IT, and business departments

This position is subject to the collective agreement governing employees in the metal sector. Your actual salary depends on your experience and qualifications. For the vacant position it will usually be set within the following range (gross per month - on a full-time basis, excluding overtime): € 5.000  to € 7.000.
