Business Development Manager – Automation & Robotics (Remote – Michigan)

They seek a strategic Business Development Manager to drive growth in manufacturing automation, leveraging AI-powered sales tools and collaborating across technical teams.

Skills

Proven success in technical sales within manufacturing or automation sectors.
Strong consultative sales approach tailored to technical buyers like engineers and operations leaders.
Experience with robotics, machine vision, or complex automation systems sales.
Proficiency using CRM and AI-enabled sales technology for lead generation and forecasting.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Identify and close new business opportunities with OEMs, integrators, and end users in manufacturing automation.
Generate and maintain a qualified sales pipeline using AI-enabled tools to consistently meet revenue targets.
Expand business within existing accounts by developing tailored robotic vision solutions with engineering teams.
Design and implement go-to-market strategies and manage partnerships to enhance market penetration.
Conduct market analysis to identify customer segments, competitors, and emerging trends.
Lead project management for key sales wins ensuring successful implementation and client satisfaction.
Drive strategic market expansion initiatives including partnerships, new verticals, and promotional campaigns.

Education

Engineering background or related technical sales experience preferred.
