Engineering Manager - Sensors & Rendering

Applied Intuition develops AI-driven vehicle intelligence solutions used globally by top automakers and defense programs. They seek an Engineering Manager to lead their Sensors & Rendering team in building simulation software for sensor data and rendering environments to support autonomous vehicle testing.

Skills

Expertise in rendering systems such as OpenGL, Vulkan, DirectX
Strong programming skills in C++ and Python
Experience with real-time, performance-sensitive systems in simulation or related domains
Understanding of sensor data modeling for perception systems
Proven track record delivering complex software projects end-to-end

Responsibilities

Lead and grow the sensor simulation and rendering engineering team
Define technical vision and direction for perception sensor modeling and synthetic environments
Oversee development of rendering pipelines balancing photorealism and real-time performance
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, infrastructure, and field teams to deliver simulation features
Guide architectural decisions, code reviews, and performance optimizations
Contribute hands-on to technical implementation as needed
Promote a culture of ownership, quality, and velocity
Improve testing, deployment, and scalability of simulation products

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
