Frontend Architect - Mission Control

Applied Intuition is a leading vehicle intelligence company accelerating AI-driven machine adoption with trusted autonomy stacks for automotive, defense, and more. They seek a Frontend Architect to lead the design and development of a configurable, intuitive frontend for their Defense-focused Mission Control platform, collaborating across teams to integrate with backend systems and enhance user experience.

Skills

Expertise in React and TypeScript frontend development
Experience with spatial reasoning and 2D/3D geographic map rendering
Background in real-time command and control interfaces for robotic systems or similar domains
Strong UI/UX design intuition for intuitive user interfaces
Leadership skills and ability to mentor junior engineers
U.S. citizenship eligibility for security clearance

Responsibilities

Design a data-oriented frontend architecture interfacing with backend applications, including live vehicles, simulations, and logs
Define and enforce best practices and software contracts for frontend engineering with test fixtures
Craft frontend UI/UX vision including 2D/3D rendering and selection tools for Defense applications such as mission planning and command control
Lead technical roadmap and long-term engineering goals for the Axion frontend platform
Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, and backend architects to align frontend with business and technical goals
Lead a small team of frontend engineers working on Mission Control
Integrate frontend implementation with in-house simulators, data pipelines, autonomous systems, and defense applications
Lead system design discussions and ensure seamless backend integration

Education

Relevant degree in Computer Science or related field (implied but not explicitly stated)
