Information Security System Officer (ISSO) - job 1 of 2

Applied Intuition, a leader in vehicle intelligence software with a focus on AI-driven machines, is seeking an experienced Information Security System Officer (ISSO) to manage and maintain secure information systems for defense and automotive clients, ensuring compliance with federal and DoD cybersecurity standards.

Skills

Proficient in RMF, ICD-503, JSIG, NIST 800 series, and CMMC standards.
Experience with security tools including NESSUS, ACAS, DISA STIGs, SCAP, and HBSS.
Knowledge of incident response, disaster recovery, and continuous monitoring.
Expertise in computing hardware design and secure networking.
Ability to create and maintain authorization packages and documentation.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement information system solutions following Risk Management Framework (RMF) guidelines.
Support system assessments and authorizations through government agencies.
Coordinate compliance requirements with DoD agencies to protect sensitive information.
Maintain System Security Plans (SSP) and related documentation.
Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
Assist with security reviews, audits, and continuous monitoring activities.
Manage classified information system compliance and accreditation.
Facilitate incident response, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity hygiene efforts.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in ISSO or Cybersecurity policies/engineering.
