Software Engineer - Kafka

Applied Intuition is advancing vehicle intelligence with AI-driven tools and autonomy stacks trusted by top automakers and defense programs. They are seeking a Software Engineer to build scalable data and machine learning platforms supporting large-scale AI research and autonomy development.

Skills

Strong backend engineering experience
Experience with Apache Kafka and distributed data processing technologies
Proficiency in Apache Spark, Apache Hudi, Trino, Flyte, Kubernetes, Python, Golang, Java
Ability to solve complex problems and work in cross-functional fast-paced environments

Responsibilities

Design and build large-scale data platforms for AI research and autonomy stacks handling petabytes of multimodal sensor data
Develop data curation and tagging platforms for dataset discovery, labeling workflows, and quality assessment
Build high-performance data processing systems using distributed computing frameworks
Collaborate across teams to develop data ingestion, processing, storage, labeling, and machine learning infrastructure

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
