Technical Program Manager - Assembly & Integration

Archer is an innovative aerospace company in San Jose focused on developing all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft to promote sustainable air mobility. They seek a Technical Program Manager to lead the assembly and integration of aircraft, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products while upholding certification and customer requirements.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of aircraft structural assemblies, system installations, wiring, hydraulics, and flight systems
  • Experience with program management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheets, and Jira
  • Proven ability to manage program schedules, technical scope, and cross-functional resources
  • Expertise in advanced manufacturing tools including CAD, PLM, MES
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead execution of aircraft assembly and integration from planning through final delivery
  • Manage coordination across engineering, manufacturing, systems, supply chain, and quality teams
  • Develop and maintain integrated schedules, budgets, and risk registers to ensure milestone achievement
  • Oversee physical integration of structural, mechanical, and avionic systems into aircraft platforms
  • Ensure configuration control and interface compatibility aligned with certification and customer requirements
  • Identify and resolve technical and execution risks swiftly and effectively
  • Communicate program status, risks, and recovery plans clearly to leadership and customers

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field
