WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Lead efforts to identify and characterize target antigens for oncology CAR T applications
  • Identify and utilize in silico databases for target discovery, validation and risk assessment 
  • Develop and optimize RNA- and protein-based assay and platforms to validate target antigen profiles
  • Design and lead experimental approaches to evaluate the interplay between internal products and existing or emerging therapeutics
  • Investigate the impact of internal CAR T cells on indication-specific tumors through innovative experimental strategies
  • Coordinate cell line engineering activities to enable CAR T cell candidate screening development
  • Stay up to date with relevant literature and apply key insights to target selection and indications of interest
  • Manage and coordinate cross-functional workstreams across multiple projects, ensuring effective prioritization and strategic planning 
  • Execute, analyze, and present  experimental findings in cross-functional settings, aligning with project timelines, goals, and long-term strategy
  • Mentor and guide junior colleagues, providing subject matter expertise and professional development support


WHO YOU ARE
  • PhD in cancer, molecular or cellular biology, or a related field with 0-2+ years of relevant research experience in industry or equivalent in academia; OR a Masters with 5+ years of relevant experience; OR a Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated scientific contributions through publications and/or development of cell therapies
  • Hands-on expertise in RNA and protein-based experimental approaches (e.g IHC, Western blot, ELISA, RT-qPCR, RNA-seq, multi-color flow cytometry)
  • Experienced working in highly collaborative, cross-functional team settings
  • Creative, adaptable, and goal-oriented with strong team-first mindset
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Deep expertise in cancer biology, with a strong understanding of the tumor microenvironment and interactions with immune cells
  • Experience in cell therapy (e.g CAR T, bispecific antibody, etc.) 
  • Proficiency in silico analyses of bulk and scRNA-seq datasets (e.g R, Python)
  • Experience mentoring or managing research associates and junior scientists

The estimated base salary for the preferred primary location of the San Francisco Bay area ranges from $113,600 to $ 139,100. Salary ranges for other locations may vary.  Base pay offered may vary based on job-related knowledge, experience, education, and location. Beyond these considerations, we are committed to pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current employees when making any final offers.
