Location: This position is based in the United States, with no requirements for travel.

Articulate is looking for a Software Engineer II to join our amazing Product Platform team!

As a Software Engineer II, you'll be focused on the execution of your team’s work. You are responsible for delivery and use your responsibilities to grow your skills and build expertise in Articulate technology, processes and culture!

What you'll do:

• Independently deliver well-scoped tasks under the loose guidance of an engineering manager or a senior engineer.
• Understand and adhere to the team’s engineering processes and practices.
• Identify and escalate risks and delays to the team as soon as they are encountered.
• Develop understanding of the team’s domain and how it fits into the larger product and company strategy.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure deliveries meet the bar in terms of quality, maintainability, testability, etc.
• Participate in the team’s on-call rotation by responding to and resolving incidents.

What you should have:

• 2-5 years of experience working as Software Engineer or equivalent role.
• Experience architecting and implementing backend infrastructure that prioritizes security, reliability, and performance
• Experience with SQL databases, ideally Postgres
• Working knowledge of AWS services (S3, SNS, SQS, etc.)
• Full stack proficiency with React and Typescript
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with various team sizes and levels of technical expertise
• Ability to communicate and synthesize requirements with non-technical stakeholders
• An unwavering growth mindset and a strong understanding of your team’s technical stack
• The ability to diagnose and analyze problems and clearly present solutions (or the problem itself when stuck)
• Curiosity and interest in learning new technologies, process, and skills

Nice to haves:

• Backend frameworks (Next, Nest, Fastify, Hapi)
• Database Technologies and Libraries (Dynamo, Redis, ORMs)
• Integration with Salesforce, Marketo, Segment
• Other Languages like Ruby and Golang
• Infrastructure technologies like Terraform, Kubernetes
• SaaS experience

$109,000 - $163,600 a year

The pay range for this position is $109,000 to $163,600 for all U.S. locations. This range reflects the minimum and maximum amounts we believe in good faith, at the time of this posting, are appropriate for this role. Actual compensation may vary, subject to future adjustment as needed. Articulate considers a wide range of factors in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs. This position is also bonus eligible.
