The Job Details are as follows:

The Associate Product Analyst is a key contributor in product planning and development, as well as managing product escalations for CapiraMobile, WorldCat Discovery, Direct Links from Google, and WorldCat.org. The Associate Product Analyst must be able to successfully collaborate with team members in across OCLC divisions to ensure the timely resolution of escalations and improve customer satisfaction. As OCLC continues to integrate AI into its operations, this role will increasingly focus on guiding and validating AI-assisted workflows—ensuring faster bug triage and resolution, escalation analysis, and operational reporting are comprehensive, trustworthy, and aligned with customer needs. This role will start at the intersection of traditional product analysis and next-generation, AI-enabled product analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test and validate functionality across the metadata management applications.
  • Liaise with OCLC subject matter experts; including technical teams
  • Work with customer support and development staff to investigate critical issues
  • Oversee transition of open issues into problem reports and enhancement requests
  • Communicate resolution of problem/enhancement reports back to Support staff and libraries
  • Document procedures, release notes, and write customer-facing communications; strong writing skills are a necessity, including the ability to explain AI-enabled workflows in clear terms.

Qualifications

Minimum Required

  • Ability to function in a team environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, willingness to take ownership of difficult issues
  • An understanding of or a willingness to learn product management
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate with several types and levels of staff and external contacts, both in writing and verbally
  • Two to four years in a product or project support role with technology
  • Competence all standard office applications including LLM prompting and chat.
  • Ability to learn and apply AI-assisted workflows, validating outputs and ensuring quality oversight.

Desired but not Required

  • Knowledge of OCLC Products and Services
  • Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Cursor, Generative chat
  • Experience in the library community
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and experience using AI-enabled tools in a professional setting.

Working Conditions: Normal office environment.
