Job Title: Plant AccountantJob DescriptionWe are seeking a High Level Staff Accountant to partner with Department Managers of Technical Accounting and Tax to assist in monthly financial close processes, financial reporting, tax compliance, annual financial audits, account reconciliations, researching technical accounting issues, enhancing accounting practices, ensuring internal control compliance, regulatory reporting, and insurance administration. The successful candidate will partner cross-functionally to deliver value and support.Responsibilities• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.• Prepare information needed to file/renew business permits, licenses, regulatory reporting, and taxes.• Advise on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take.• Maintain the financial health of the organization.• Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and the company’s actual performance to the business plans.• Develop trends and projections for the firm’s finances.• Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.• Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.• Participate in tax audits and payroll.• Prepare budget reports and forecasts.• Manage month-end and year-end closing.• Monitor the daily performance of the accounting department.• Establish accounting policies and procedures, aligned with the company's targets.• Ensure compliance with the law.• Ensure that all payments are made in accordance with company policy.• Update and maintain records of expenditures.• Send out payments for company credit cards.• Respond to vendor invoices.• Ensure that all payments are sent on time.• Resolve payment discrepancies and disputes on behalf of the company.• Manage all accounting transactions.• Publish financial statements in time.• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.Essential Skills• Proven experience as an accountant with a minimum of 10 years’ experience.• Experience with D365 including Report Writer.• Experience with ERP platforms, Radius preferred.• Excellent organizing abilities.• Great attention to detail.• Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen.• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software.• Degree in accounting; preferably CPA designation.• Manufacturing experience of 5+ years.• Previous experience in a supervisory role.Additional Skills & Qualifications• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.• High level of integrity and professionalism.Work EnvironmentThis position will be based in an open 'pit' style office area, with additional office space available for more privacy.
