Student: Admissions Communications Assistant

This student employment position supports the Admissions team by assisting with the development of engaging, student-centered communication content. The Admissions Communications Assistant plays a key role in creating email campaigns, social media content, and other digital and print materials that reflect Augsburg’s brand and effectively engage prospective students. This position is ideal for a creative and organized student who enjoys storytelling, design, and digital communication. The role also includes maintaining a strong peer presence on the ZeeMee social media platform to connect authentically with prospective students.

Pay Rate: $15.97

• Write and design engaging email communications for prospective students.
• Create and edit content for social media platforms, with a focus on ZeeMee.
• Assist in designing flyers, digital ads, posters, and other promotional materials that support recruitment goals.
• Collaborate with Admissions staff to develop and execute creative strategies for student engagement.
• Ensure all content adheres to Augsburg’s brand identity and voice.
• Track and manage projects, communicating regularly about progress and meeting deadlines.
• Maintain organized files and assets for ongoing campaigns and communications.
• All other duties as apparent or assigned by supervisor(s). 

• Current Augsburg University student.
• Strong written communication skills, with attention to tone and audience.
• Creative, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
• Comfortable engaging in digital communities and social media platforms.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Interest in promoting Augsburg to prospective students.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Major in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communication, or related field.
• Experience with ZeeMee, Instagram, or similar platforms.
• Content creation including photography or video production skills are a plus.
