Barry University School of Law seeks IT Student Assistants. These are temporary, part-time positions working up to 20 hours per week. The IT Student Assistant provides technology support for Staff & Students and performs basic computer troubleshooting, printer support. This position also performs checks on public computers and assists our existing point of contact in the Law Library. This position also answers users' inquiries regarding computer software and hardware operation to resolve problems.
Position is for evening coverage: M-Th, 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM
Answer users' inquiries regarding computer software and hardware operation to resolve problems
Assist students with laptop setup and minor problems that relate directly to their success as a student
Basic computer troubleshooting tasks
Deliver, setup, troubleshoot, and operate computer projection systems, video systems, and other audiovisual equipment
Assist users in the proper use of hardware and software
Prepare evaluations of software or hardware and recommend improvements or upgrades to the Lab Machines
Assist IT staff members in daily or special projects as needed
