Working together in a supportive and open culture makes our processes evolve for the better and engages our workforce.You'll be offered extensive training, and the tight-knit working environment within the Manufacturing team means employees get additional training from their direct manager and peers when needed.What You'll Be DoingSummary:Manufacturing Leads are responsible for leading the manufacturing, assembly and/or packaging of medical device products in multiple processes, including planning the schedule, creating work orders, leading team meetings, performing enterprise resource planning (ERP) system transactions, training/mentoring/coaching Manufacturing Technicians, and other activities as needed.Manufacturing Leads will be trained and follow standard operating procedures, environmental health and safety guidelines and any other related regulations which could apply to the specific job.May act as backup to the Manufacturing Supervisor.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Perform one or more functions on the assembly lines including but not limited to:• Cutting, weighing, processing tissue• Mixing of solutions• Washing components or equipment• Wrapping/preparing components and or equipment for sterilization (sealers, autoclave, stir plates, etc.)• Assembly or gluing of components• Packaging and sealing of devices• Lead Tier 1 meetings for area based on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost• Perform all manufacturing processes in ERP system• Ensure team is up to date on Training• Coaching/Mentoring of team members• Raise issues to area Supervisor/ManagementMay act as back-up for the Supervisors Perform other duties as assigned.What You'll BringQualifications:• Ability to read, write English and perform basic math skills as job duties require.• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment.• May require work in a clean room environment wearing special garments (e.g. scrubs, hair bonnets, frocks, hoods, masks, gloves) based on the Class level for each Clean Room.• Personal protective equipment (e.g. safety glasses, face shields, protective sleeves, aprons) will be based on the safety requirements for each area.• Proficient in ERP system for transactions Able to train others to the GDP and GMP regulations.• Overtime may be required at times.Physical Requirements:Must meet local physical requirements:• Ability to sit or stand for minimum of 8 hours• Must be able to lift up to 25lbs individually or up to 65 pounds as part of a team lift.• Occasional pushing/pulling of carts with product or containers of solutions.• Requires frequent object handling• Requires frequent fine hand coordination.• Requires frequent simple hand grasping.• Requires frequent firm hand grasping.Requirement of 20/25 vision (with or without corrective lenses) This job also involves hazardous materials and hazardous waste responsibilities which include understanding and following hazardous materials and hazardous waste regulations for job duties such as: proper handling, storage, hazardous waste in-house treatment using neutralization and dilution systems, and labeling requirements for hazardous materials and hazardous waste.Education and/or Experience:• High School Diploma or Equivalent with 3 years of manufacturing experience, or Associate's degree and 1 year of experience.First list the minimum• Then list preferred requirements for this roleWe understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $43,200- $59,400 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
