PostgreSQL Expert for Database Engineering 12 Months Contract
We are seeking a highly skilled PostgreSQL Expert to enhance and optimize our PostgreSQL database frameworks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for strengthening PostgreSQL infrastructure, automating database operations, and ensuring compliance and security standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Improve and mature PostgreSQL infrastructure to enhance scalability and performance.
- Develop and implement database automation strategies to optimize operations.
- Ensure database security by implementing best practices and proactive risk mitigation.
- Maintain and enforce database compliance standards, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams to ensure seamless database integration and management.
- Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize queries for efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong expertise in PostgreSQL database administration and optimization.
- Experience with database compliance frameworks and regulatory standards.
- In-depth knowledge of database security best practices and implementation.
- Hands-on experience in database automation and scripting for operational efficiency.
- Understanding of IT infrastructure and its impact on database management.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written) for effective communication.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud-based PostgreSQL solutions (AWS RDS, Azure PostgreSQL, etc.).
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD for database management.
- Certifications related to PostgreSQL, database security, or compliance are a plus.
