Chief Accounting Officer

BitGo, a leading digital asset infrastructure provider and publicly traded company, is seeking a strategic Chief Accounting Officer to lead its global accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX requirements while supporting corporate growth.

Skills

Deep expertise in U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX 404 internal controls.
Experience managing large accounting teams and leading cross-functional projects.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Hands-on leadership qualities and operational mindset.
Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or Oracle.

Responsibilities

Provide executive leadership for all global accounting functions including general ledger, technical accounting, SEC reporting, consolidations, revenue recognition, and accounts payable/receivable.
Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of financial statements and SEC disclosures in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.
Lead Corporate Controller in the financial close process ensuring efficiency, internal control compliance, and accuracy.
Oversee SOX 404 compliance including design, documentation, and testing of internal controls over financial reporting.
Serve as primary interface with external auditors and ensure successful audit completion.
Lead technical accounting efforts by researching and implementing new accounting standards.
Build and manage a high-performing accounting team scalable with company growth.
Drive continuous improvements in accounting systems, processes, and policies.
Provide strategic guidance on complex accounting issues, business transactions, and financial risk management.
Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Tax, Legal, Investor Relations, and Operations teams.
Stay updated on emerging accounting and regulatory issues and assess business impact.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required.
