Expression of Interest - IT Manager

In 2022, we announced that our studio is implementing a four-day work week as well as supporting in-studio, remote within Canada, and hybrid work arrangements as permanent options to our employees.

Are you a veteran IT leader with a background in networking, production infrastructure and supporting large-scale projects? Do you have experience leading successful IT teams in a fast-changing, high-tech industry? Have you managed budgets, forecasts, and procurement plans at a studio level? Do you have a proactive, support-oriented and solution-focused mindset? The IT Manager works with the BBI studio executives, department heads, producers and key personnel to deliver IT systems that support the operation of a fast-growing computer game production environment.

Your resume should showcase: 

-5+ years experience leading a successful IT portfolio in a medium-sized, high-tech, enterprise environment

-Experience with game production and software development

-Formal education/degree in computer science, IT engineering, or networking

-Experience with growing and leading a team of IT staff, including task management, career management, and mentorship

-Experience with budgeting, infrastructure forecasting, and procurement systems

-Proficient in network switching/routing fundamentals

-Thorough understanding of Windows desktop and server systems, including VMs

-Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate effectively at all levels and with different departments

-Highly organized, with an ability to multitask

-Great attention to detail

-Thrive in a high-pressure, deadline-oriented environment

-Willing to learn new technologies and operating environments
