Director of Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting

Blockchain.com is the world's leading software platform for digital assets, seeking a Director of Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting to lead the consolidated financial reporting function, ensure US GAAP compliance, and provide technical accounting guidance in a dynamic, global fintech environment.

Skills

Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP including ASC 842, 805, 606, and 350
Experience with SEC reporting and SOX compliance
Technical accounting expertise in revenue recognition, lease accounting, business combinations, and stock-based compensation
Analytical and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office; NetSuite preferred
Project management skills
Strong communication for conveying complex accounting information

Responsibilities

Lead the group technical accounting function ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP including cryptocurrency accounting and revenue recognition.
Oversee preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements and related disclosures.
Manage monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc management reporting and variance analysis.
Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and new accounting standards implementation.
Prepare technical accounting memos and documentation for audit purposes.
Support financial and regulatory reporting with proper disclosures and documentation.
Assist in consolidation processes and review of intercompany transactions.
Participate in internal and external audits and support period-end closing activities.
Lead and develop the financial reporting and technical accounting team.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in accounting
CPA certification required
