The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Associate Estimating and Pricing Specialist to join the team in San Antonio, TX

The candidate selected for this role will support the growing San Antonio site with over and above labor estimating. This is an exciting position that requires the individual to have prioritization skills along with critical thinking to best set the site up for success. Our position allows the individual to gain experience on multiple fast pace high profile customers/programs and requires a strong skill set in communication and collaboration. This is an exciting opportunity to join the finance and estimating team to drive results and changes for the Boeing company.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support the over and above statement of work for all platforms located in San Antonio

  • Work closely with local operations teams, Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) teams, and supporting functional groups to determine estimate from technical information and drawings in response to Non-Conformance Records (NCRs)

  • Support DCMA negotiations to resolve challenges to estimated hour

  • Support estimating initiatives that streamline the NCR/Over & Above process

  • Work on-call rotations and holiday to support the emergent response while supporting the schedule and delivery of the product

  • Support multiple platforms including VC-25A, VC-25B, E4B, B-52, C-17, F15, AWACS, and F/A-18

  • Incorporate data into estimates

  • Work with contracts and DCMA when disputes arise over estimates to arrive at a mutually acceptable position

  • Support proposal team when/if required

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Excel

  • 1+ years of experience with Microsoft office suite

  • 1+ years of experience with aircraft mechanical troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts

  • Ability to use excellent written/verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Willing to work second shift, weekends and holidays if required

  • Experience in a role which required negotiating skills to influence decisions

  • Experience developing cost estimates

  • Experience with Composite or Back shop

  • Experience with data analysis

  • Experience with pricing

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $66,300 – $89,700
