Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) , Phantom Works team, has an immediate need for Wire Design & Install Engineers, in Hazelwood, MO working on a proprietary program. The successful candidate will develop equipment and electrical system integration layouts and designs using Unigraphics 3-D Computer Aided Design tools (UG NX), Team Center Visualization and/or other design methods to provide and coordinate product definition for Integrated Product Teams, various engineering functions, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
In this role you will work on the development, maintenance and release of 3-D engineering models and Build-to-Packages (BTP) using TeamCenter product data manager (IPDM) for equipment shelves, supports, miscellaneous hardware, and/or electrical wire harness definition routing and support hardware models. The candidate will utilize TeamCenter as a master database and configuration control method along with other electronic tools to maintain an accounting of the Size, Weight, Power and Cooling (SWaPC) for new and evolving designs of equipment installations.
The successful candidate may be experienced in 3D CAD modeling tools Unigraphics (UG) - Siemens NX or similar 3D modeling tools and in applying 3D Model Based Definition principles as part of the design process. Experience using product data management tools (e.g. to create and maintain a Master Equipment List (MEL)); Teamcenter experience preferred. Should be a highly motivated, self-starting individual with strong interpersonal skills. Candidate the ability to perform within a variety of different stages of product development. Position requires strong written communication skills, oral and listening skills, presentation skills and the ability to work well with a variety of customer, supplier and internal team members.

Position Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs
Analyze results and perform design reviews
Develop and maintain electrical product detail, assembly and installation designs (e.g., equipment racks, power panels, cable routing and geometry, antennas)
Provide engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests)
Document processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities
Develop basic statements of work
Participates in technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection
Analyze functional and physical input to assure development of complete integrated design
Work under general direction
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically depending on business needs.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
(Level 3) 5+ years of work related engineering experience with a Bachelor’s or 3+ years of work related engineering experience with a Master’s or work related engineering experience with a PhD
(Level 4) 9+ years of work related engineering experience with a Bachelor’s or 7+ years of work related engineering experience with a Master’s or 4+ years of work related engineering experience with a PhD

Summary pay range (Experienced, Level 3): $97,750 - $132,250
Summary pay range (Senior, Level 4): $119,850 - $162,150
