Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include obtaining purchasing requirements, entering data into procurement systems, issuing purchase orders, participating in sourcing projects, and confirming receipt of goods and services.
Skills: Required skills include strong interpersonal abilities, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and a solid understanding of procurement workflows.
Qualifications: Preferred qualifications include at least 2 years of experience in finance, accounts payable, or procurement, with knowledge of Coupa or Oracle Fusion systems being advantageous.
Location: The position is based in Minneapolis, MN with some travel required (approximately 5%).
Compensation: $23 - $36 / Hourly
Reporting to the Procurement Director, this role acts as the intermediary between the business, FP&A, suppliers and AP. This individual is responsible for turning approved contracts into purchase orders, creating purchase requisitions and receiving goods and services. This role is also highly focused on customer service, ensuring that spend requests of all types are set up correctly and efficiently and contract terms are in the best interest of SEI.
The Buyer role is able to act independently on purchasing tasks as well as begin to support the broader purchasing functions at SEI. This includes some project work, data exercises to find savings, and collaboration with other teams.
