Contract Doctor

As a Contract Doctor at Calibrate, your primary responsibilities include providing world-class clinical care, reviewing patient intakes, and prescribing appropriate weight loss therapies based on our clinical protocols. You’ll also actively participate in developing treatment plans tailored to help patients reach their weight-loss goals, utilizing our comprehensive coaching and curriculum to ensure holistic support.

Candidates for the Contract Doctor position at Calibrate must be BC/BE MDs, including those specializing in family medicine, internal medicine, or emergency medicine with primary care experience. Additionally, an active, unrestricted medical license in states such as IA, IL, MA, ME, MN, NC, OR, SC, TN, TX, or VA is required, along with excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a virtual healthcare setting.

Calibrate provides its Contract Doctors with a robust system of support, including access to a detailed clinical treatment paradigm designed specifically for obesity patients, continuous updates on best practices, and an innovative telehealth platform that facilitates effortless communication with both patients and the interdisciplinary team. This collaborative environment fosters effective participation in the care model.

The Contract Doctor position at Calibrate is a temporary position lasting three months, requiring a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week. This allows for flexibility while still ensuring you have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals seeking support for their weight health.

While the Contract Doctor position is a contract role and does not include traditional benefits, Calibrate does offer malpractice coverage, providing peace of mind as you deliver care. In your initial patient interaction, it’s essential to establish a connection and demonstrate empathy.
